Electric toothbrush for 9 year old

Looking to get a good electric toothbrush for 9 year old, been looking at the oral b io range and getting a bit confused! Dentist said it’s not necessary to get one specifically for children, can anyone confirm if this is correct as seen a number of brushes for children but the oral b one for children doesn’t get v good reviews. Any advice or recommendations welcomed. Thank you.

DS9 has an adult's Oral B Vitality Plus. Only about £25 from amazon and is really good. It buzzes every 30 seconds so all teeth are brushed for an even amount of time. He saw the dentist the other day and he said DS' teeth were really well brushed. He still uses older children's toothpaste too.

I'm an adult and use an Oral B Junior as it was cheap, takes the same brush heads, and comes in purple...

Can anyone advise if the oral b io electric toothbrushes are suitable for children and if so are there specific brush heads for children?

I'd particularly recommend a Sonicare toothbrush. I've been using one since that age and the brush heads etc are fine for children. I still don't have a single filling, in spite of not having been to the dentist for 8 years until recently.

They go up to an outrageous price but the cheaper ones are totally fine.

Your dentist said an adult's toothbrush is fine, so have lots of posters. Not sure why you need more opinions? It's a marketing ploy. Just buy an 'adult' one unless you want colourful ones. Pretty sure the heads are the same size in any case

The heads for those are horrifically expensive so don't waste your money

DD's first one was aimed at kids purely because she was about 7 but she didn't like the way the oral B brush made her nose tickle so she has a Phillips sonicare. The heads for those are pricey as well unfortunately but it's better than having poor teeth

I was trying to ascertain if the standard heads were suitable for children as I was confused from the information I had found online - was unsure if the bristles were softer. ‘Lots of posters’ hadn’t said that an adult toothbrush was fine at the point I asked my second question. So that’s the reason I asked for more opinions. On the other hand not sure why you feel the need to question why I need more opinions. Thanks anyway.
