Can you recommend which Premier Inn is best for being close to the University and easy access to M1 South?

I didn't realise there are 4 in Nottingham!
Thanks

I just asked ChatGPT 😆:

Here’s a breakdown of the four Premier Inn locations in Nottingham and how they stack up for ease of access to both the University of Nottingham and the M1 motorway heading south:

Premier Inn Options in Nottingham

According to Premier Inn listings, the four Nottingham options near the University are:

  • Castle Marina (closest to the University Park campus)
  • City Centre (Goldsmith Street)
  • South (Ruddington)
  • West

1.
Castle Marina
– Closest to University

  • Located less than a mile from University Park Campus, making it the most convenient for walking or a short drive to lectures .
  • Ideal if proximity to class is the top priority.

2.
City Centre (Goldsmith Street)

  • Very central, handy for both universities (especially Nottingham Trent) and tram access—great if you want quick connections across the city .
  • Offers good restaurant and nightlife options, but not optimal for M1 access heading south.

3.
South (Ruddington)

  • Just off M1 Junction 24 and very easy access onto the M1 southbound via A453/A52 .
  • University is about 4 miles away—manageable by car or taxi but not as convenient on foot or by transit.

4.
West

  • Located just 1.5 miles from Junction 26 of the M1—great for motorway access .
  • Around 4.5 miles from Nottingham city centre; offers free parking and tram access into town .
  • A nice balance of university access, M1 access, and parking.

Recommendation: Best All-Rounder

If your priorities are close proximity to University and easy M1-south access, Premier Inn Nottingham West is your best bet:

  • Excellent motorway access (just off J26, easy entry to M1 south)
  • Good tram and driving access into the University
  • Free parking makes it ideal if you’re driving
