Taking steroids for a serious health condition and want to lose half a stone

Gained a stone and a half. Was really fit before. Limited exercise with health nightmare. Steroids (5mg a day) and peri have added 9kg. Top end of normal weight but muscle gone.

How to tone up and lose 3-5kg?

Doing some of the following but want to make it consistent. Writing this with an injured foot but have to start.

  • Short yoga, tai chi and Pilates daily.
  • Walking a bit. 1km max and slow. Very frustrating as ran a lot before. Will try and do it twice a day.
  • Swimming pool to stretch once a week (when the warm but is open 😂)
  • Light arm weights in short bursts.
  • Cutting anything processed - not much here as generally eat well. Adding more protein. Cutting sugar, though nothing major apart from the fruit juice I drink when I get dizzy from the med side effects and salty snacks to counter POTs.
  • Going to bed before 10 to try to sleep for eight hours. Sometimes hit by insomnia but feel a lot better.

Any advice? Anyone want to join me and compare notes. Previously derailed by illness and health scares.
