Where should I move to?

I live in Plymouth but I’m recently separated and my children have all left home.
I work from home and my tenancy is up soon so I have decided that now is the best time to start over somewhere new.

I love the sea and do a water sport so want to stay near the coast.
I have a dog and love country side and woodland walks.
I want to be near to shops.

Oh OP - the UK has so many beautiful stretches of coast! Over the last two years we’ve tried out quite a few - Devon, Dorset, Norfolk, Suffolk, East Sussex, Lancashire, Cumbria, Pembrokeshire, Flintshire… Could you take short lets and try a few out? It could be worth revisiting different seasons.
