RD&E Exeter Maternity

Hi,
Has anyone given birth at Exeter recently? I’m slightly out of area so my midwives aren’t able to advise.
I’ll be having a planner section, so mostly interested in the postnatal ward. Is there amenity beds available? Google says the trust has them but I can’t tell if that’s at Exeter or North Devon, and North Devon is definitely too far.
Also, are partners allowed to stay on the ward? Derriford have now changed it so they are, and I definitely don’t want to be stuck in a room full of strange snoring men!
Thanks!

Hey congrats! From my experience of having my csection almost 3 years ago at RD&E Exeter there were no amenity beds unless for patients with mental health and or any sickness/diseases that meant needing to be kept away from others! And no partners are allowed to stay overnight :) Hope all goes well!x

Thank you!

I had my first at Derriford, hoping for a better experience at Exeter!
