Do I ask for a refund now for non delivery?

I made an online order Wednesday of last week. The details online about delivery said

'we process all orders same day once received by 5pm. Orders are collected next day by our courier. So that would have been Thursday.

I was kinda led to suspect that maybe I would have my order by Friday or maybe even Monday but that still didn't happen.

I dot a delivery notification for this morning for delivery by 1pm but there is still no delivery.

I thought I would have got this by now.

I contacted the shop yesterday and it said courier delivery is 3 to 5 days. That information wasn't on their website. If I knew it was going to take so long I would have ordered from somewhere else with a quicker delivery.

There is still no delivery now today.

Do I ask for a refund now at this stage and look for the item somewhere else.

If you paid by credit card, get the refund from the card issuer and let them deal with the shop.

That's what I did in similar circumstances to yours.

Mastercard simply took my word for it that the delivery had not arrived (the amount was under £100 if that's relevant).

They were very clever in their wording. They do not promise that you will have it within a certain time-frame, they only state that the courier when the courier will pick it up. Technically they have not done anything wrong so I think they may refuse a refund.

I made the order on Wednesday and I got a delivery tracker number on Wednesday. However it's been sitting like that since last Wednesday. Online said that ordered are picked up next day. That would have been on the Thursday.

I presumed I would have got it by Friday or even Monday.

They didn't specify a timeframe so I'm not sure you can ask for a refund, especially with the bank holiday weekend.

It's not a bank holiday where I am

Who did you order from? You don’t need to be secret on here. Someone usually pops up on here with a contact number or email that actually works to get thing sorted with whatever company you shopped with.

It being g a bank holiday elsewhere will still have an impact on the network though.

It doesn’t really matter. She got an “out for delivery” message this morning. But it didn’t turn up. The driver may be late, or lost the parcel. But it’s at least made it to a van near where she is at some point this morning.

Are you in Ireland? Is it Fastway?
