I bought a chicken on Saturday, a butter basted cook in a tray sort. Meaningvyo have it yesterday. DC didn't get hone from their dad's til late so I didn't cook it. Just realised its got yesterday's date on it.

Bloody hate to waste it, equally dont want to poison us all. Also, we go away weds am.

If it smells and looks ok just eat it! I never look at use by dates.

Sniff it? If it smells fine, I would cook it, sniff again then definitely eat, or freeze the cooked meat.

Open it and give it a sniff.

Things don’t get to midnight and suddenly go off, you will be fine.
