Anyone used Seatfrog?

How far in advance can I bid for an upgrade? And is it legit? I mean, how do the seats get on there? I’d like to upgrade but don’t want to pay hundreds to do so…

I use it whenever we go on holiday, decent service, refunded my trip within two days when trains were cancelled - unlike trainline who made it so difficult I didn't bother in the end.

I don't usually bid, just take the upgrade price which is offered (always cheaper than buying a first class ticket).

I use it all the time, normally bid a couple of days ahead of travel and only up to the amount I'm happy to spend. I get lucky maybe 1/4 times, but then I only bid relatively low bids. You pay a £3 (I think) admin fee on top of your bid. My best was three first class upgrades for £5 each (£8 with admin fee) for me and Dds, that was on the 2nd January on a strangely empty train! Very rare to get cheap upgrades at peak times, they normally seem to go for around £40-50 on the route I take, I never bid above £20.

I used it and bid on it and got it I think like 2 days before? Definitely would use again

Thanks! I’ve just bought tickets with it and bid on an upgrade, so fingers crossed!
