Not abroad but I am in my 50’s and went to one of those afternoon clubs a couple of months ago - absolutely loved it and got a couple more booked. Mix of indie, rock and musical theatre.

Afternoon clubs?
Is this a thing for people who want to dance but not stay up late?

@Mrsmunchofmunchingtonyes they tend to run 3-7, todays is 4-9. I didn’t quite know what to expect but the first one I went to felt just like a proper club. Except everyone was there for the music and although people were drinking plenty I would say there wasn’t really that pissed up behaviour. Majority of people I would say probably late 40’s up to 60’s. It was in London and we went to it grabbed food after and still on a train home by 9!

the one I went to was run by feeling gloomy - they tend to the rock / indie music but there are others I have seen that focus on different stuff.

i am sure I read an article recently about how they were the new thing!

Can’t dance like I used to due to ill health and disability but I would love to go and soak up the atmosphere

Saturday night was fab though, it's been a while since I got home at 4am 🤣 We sensibly had a pre-club pizza, loading up on carbs obviously energised us 💪😉
