I'm going on holiday in a few weeks. My feet are NOT holiday-ready and there is no Footner to be found! WT actual F is going on?!!

(Don't usually use shouty caps or multiple exclamation marks, but I'm beside myself! 😁)

What's going on? I have scaly hooves - what am I going to do?

I was in Boots this week, they had some.

myplace · 22/08/2025 22:05

Use a urea stick. About 2 for £10 on Amazon. Like a large chapstick with urea and salycilic acid.
wipe it around your feet a couple of times a day. After a shower, rub the spongey skin off your feet with a towel.

It improves really fast. The issue then is maintaining it!

Needtosoundoffandbreathe · 22/08/2025 22:07

Moisturising your feet is the key. Apparently. Fellow scaly footer here.

Autumnlife · 22/08/2025 22:15

Seen it in boots the other day so still available

Don't waste your money on Footner - get these Fakeners instead! https://amzn.eu/d/cz2prk0

realslimshade · 23/08/2025 00:32

You need this foot file. Use it on dry skin and don’t get carried away or you’ll have sore feet! Then use a urea based foot cream like the CCS one every night
thats my whole routine with the odd body scrub on my feet in the shower and a podiatrist said she couldn’t find any hard skin to remove

Dunno but don’t make the same mistake that ‘my friend’ did by using footner a week before the holiday and seeing half a sole coming off in the pool 😱😬

’My friend’ also made this mistake - except ‘my friend’ lost half her sole out of her flip-flop while at the bar 😳

I have tried a few different brands in the past and only Footner does the job somewhat satisfactorily. I used to have horrible dry skin on mine but many years ago I read about it on here and over time Footner transformed my feet from horrible to pretty feet.
These days I just use one before a holiday currently I have peeling feet I find soaking them in soapy water twice a day speeds up the process for mine. So although other brands are cheaper outlay they don’t give the results that footner does.

I've been looking for a couple of months, it seems to have gone. I did manage to order one off Amazon at double the usual price. Not sure what I will do next summer if it doesn't make a comeback!

I did this but in a hot tub with MIL!

I have been wondering where it has gone too!!!

I was born with a foot defect and NEED footner to prevent hard skin build up. I have tried some other brands in the past and nothing came close.
Will have to try the fakeners too.

Sorry to revive this thread but I've been looking for some for months, how were the cheap ones?!

Arlanymor · 17/11/2025 22:51

You can buy direct from their website: https://myfootner.co.uk/product/footner-exfoliating-socks/

Tarkan · 17/11/2025 22:59

This is really weird because I was just telling a friend about them. I use the derma v10 ones (well I think it’s them) but they only cost around £1 in Home Bargains. I just used one last week so I’m getting to the really good bit when it’s all starting to come away. They do work a little better in the summer for me as keeping my feet warm helps them work more but I’ve been doubling up on socks and cosy slippers to help. 😁

OrigamiOwls · 17/11/2025 23:17

I've recently bought footner off Amazon
