My 8 year old son who’s never been taught to ride a bike

Just got on and starting riding. He doesn’t go out anywhere and always with us but today dad bought him a bike and he just got on starting peddling and his balance is great.
why do I mention this because he’s autistic and has never wanted to go on a Bike. Scooters yes but point blank refused bike riding, we’ve tried over the years. My other autistic son still will not get on but it’s in his own time.

I share your joy - my dd(6) has managed to pedal forwards on a bike

She has her own but will happily sit pedalling backwards and going nowhere 😭

At this bike club for sen kids, shes making progress pedalling forwards, although no balance yet

That’s amazing. My son did similar. Didn’t want to ride a bike initially, but he was 9 when he learned. (Also ND).
