Changing rooms WWYD?

Taking DS (just turned 9) and DD (5) swimming this weekend. Normally go with DH but he‘s busy.

The pool has 2 small shower spaces opposite each other, one men and one women. Each space has a few showers with doors, and a few open ones.

I feel like DS is too old to come into the ladies with me and DD. But is he too young to go in a shower cubicle in the mens on his own?

Most pools are age 8 and over use the appropriate room so he should be in the men's. He will be fine at 9 especially if some of the showers have doors.

most of our local pools are up to 8 and then they have to use the appropriate male/female changing.
