I am in the US and hear lots of good things about US chemists - any recommendations on what I should bring back?

Why do you need to bring something back if there isn't anything that needs fixing?

Girlintheframe · 20/08/2025 20:27

Melatonin

whitewineandsun · 20/08/2025 20:28

Tylenol.

curious79 · 20/08/2025 20:32

Melatonin

otherwise, steer well clear.

PangolinPan · 20/08/2025 20:33

If you have heavy periods, their sanitary pads are enormous, I have to order from Amazon 😕

Often have make up we don't have. Giant bottles of Tylenol.

WhineAndWine1 · 20/08/2025 20:34

For me meds wise - Tylenol pm, 1000 ibuprofen, 10mg melatonin. Toiletries wise - Olay Hyaluronic Acid body wash, olay Vit c body wash, Native Deodorant and Secret roll on deodorant (the best stuff I have ever bought) and Crest 3D Whitening Toothpaste.

CharlotteCChapel · 20/08/2025 20:35

Have you seen the prices?

Bitzee · 20/08/2025 20:37

Large packs of ibuprofen and paracetamol/acetaminophen
Tylenol PM
Naproxen sodium
Neosporin
Pedialyte sachets
Crest White strips and 3D toothpaste

I have no need for Melatonin but you can also get that if you like

fashionqueen0123 · 20/08/2025 20:39

I got 500 ibuprofen for £5. Paracetomol was similar.

Other than that melatonin? Oh and hydrocortisone cream

LaCerbiatta · 20/08/2025 20:39

I'm always intrigued by people who bring back large packs of paracetamol or ibuprofen. Both cost peanuts in the UK in decent sized packs. Are you really going through that size packs before it expires?

VeryQuaintIrene · 20/08/2025 20:41

I always bring my friend in the UK melatonin and hydrocortisone cream, and they are very cheap here.

WhineAndWine1 · 20/08/2025 20:42

@LaCerbiattayeah but you can only buy x amount and when you need them you never have them. If they run out of date then that’s fine.

It’s just annoying to only be able to get them in packs of 16. If you need it for period pain or a sports injury or something like that a whole pack is gone in a few days and then you have to remember to get more… Personally I’d rather get 1000 from the US and be stocked up for several years so whenever you feel like you need you always have them in.

SirChenjins · 20/08/2025 20:45

We got melatonin and hydrocortisone

You can only buy them in packs of 16. When I had a frozen shoulder I had to shop every two days or schlep round all the local shops and pharmacies in an afternoon to build up a supply. I lived in fear of them running out. I’d happily have paid a premium for bigger packs.

honeyfox · 20/08/2025 20:52

Naproxen.

PotteringAlonggotkickedoutandhadtoreregister · 20/08/2025 20:54

Walgreens own brand lempsip.

I’ve got no idea what is in them but those things are dynamite

Berlinlover · 20/08/2025 20:56
