Is there something like an iPod that kids can listen to music?

My daughter loves listening to music and I’d like to get her something like the old school iPod, just for music really? Any ideas?

We use an ancient android phone (I find the child safety settings better than on an iPhone). It doesn’t have a SIM card. We’ve installed Pulsar for burnt CDs and Apple Music. We download everything as DS (8) doesn’t yet have his own internet access. Everything else is blocked and there’s no access to a browser, so if he were to stream audio, there wouldn’t be access outside of the music streaming programme.

It has a heavy-duty case and screen protector…

edited to add: if DD isn’t bothered about what she listens to when, you can get small speakers that play straight from an SD card.
