Recommend a (cheapish) robot vacuum?

A couple of years ago I bought a ~£150 eufy robo vac 30c off amazon. I thought it might be crap because it was so cheap, but it was amazing and we used it every day. Last year I bought a kitten who pooed on the floor overnight and the vac was on. So the poo-covered vac ended up thrown away.

Bought a replacement, decided to upgrade and got a ~£400 one and it’s shite!!!! (G50 hybrid).

I want a new one, but the 30c is discontinued.

Does anyone have that one that cost <£400 that they’d recommend?

To summarise the issues in case it’s useful:

  • The new crap one doesn't move between rugs and hard floor or over door thresholds without throwing out anything still in the roller brush. So it leaves piles of dirt all over the floor.
  • The parts such as the little rotating sweepers don't click in and out like the old one so removing hair is a nuisance. Similarly, the old one had a little ridge in the end of the roller brush which I could use the small cutter supplied with it to cut any wound hair loose; but not only does the new one not have a cutter supplied, there is no ridge to even get a knife under any hair.
  • The battery life doesn't appear to be as long, maybe half an hour max.
  • And the vac stops every ten minutes or so with the error "roller brush stuck", so we have to be constantly monitoring it to make sure it's still going.

And to confirm: the kitten is now a cat and is toilet trained!

I don't have recommendations (interested in getting some myself) but I hope you get a refund on the one you've bought.

My eufy is doing upstairs even as I write this. Had it about three years and still robust and I got the cheapest model. No pets or children though. Look at them again.

Ive had this one for nearly a year - hard floors, the odd mat, a constantly shedding pug - and it does a great job
