I need to buy two double beds, to be delivered within the next few weeks, and realise I don’t have a clue where to start.

Do folk still visit places and try them out or is it a wing it online & hope for the best.

Any recent, decent purchase recommendations gladly received.

I've been very impressed with the service and quality of the double Ottoman bed I ordered from dreams recently. I just ordered online but they do have showrooms where you can try them. As do Bensons and IKEA. Went for a mid range pocket sprung matress with a memory foam top.

Just make sure you check the delivery times - I ordered an ottoman bed from Bensons in April and it wasn't delivered until the beginning of August. I ordered the mattress from Dunelm which was delivered within 3 days.

Yes indeed, we only have a few weeks so online choice of delivery dates is important! Will look at dunelm too, thank you

I've just ordered from Land of Beds online - delivered next week. Have used them before.
