Skint in summer holidays

If you have young kids and you’re skint how are you getting through it? Today we’re having a movie day with snacks but no further plans for the rest of the holiday. Everything is sooo expensive 😢 feel like I’m drowning and trying to keep the kids entertained until they go back to school

What sort of age group are your DC?

What’s around you? I mean, are you in a city? A town? Near the coast? Or out in the country?

Do you have transport? Or access to public transport?

And when you say skint, are you talking absolute bones of your arse, can’t afford the bus into town skint? Or skint, can’t afford the insane amount for a family trip to Legoland skint? Or somewhere in between? As in you can’t afford weekly swimming/cinema trips, but could spring for bus fare to go somewhere?

When mine were little there were endless trips to the park feeding the ducks etc

the dog was never walked so much!
