What's wrong with me?

Had some emotional trauma in January but I'm getting through it and thought things were better.

6 weeks ago I bumped my car into another in a car park.

Made stupid mistakes like putting stuff away in the wrong place, forgetting where things are.

This morning I've reversed the car I to a gatepost. To make it worse I was referring to turn around because I realized I was driving to the wrong place.

18 years of no accidents and then this in 6 weeks. I'm worried about myself.

It would be worth discussion this with a mental health professional, it could be disassociation which is perfectly normal after a trauma. It can be a bit like when your mind wanders off into a daydream.
There are ways to manage it, look into grounding techniques and practice using them throughout the day. You can use a checklist; notice the time, the temperature, are you feeling hungry or thirsty. If you've been sat in one position or engaged in the same activity for more than half an hour, stop and move around.

Seek advice from your GP.

It could be brain fog and you’re stuck on autopilot or need further investigations.
