Galaxy Watch 8?

Anyone bought the new Galaxy watch yet? My birthday is coming up and I have been thinking of upgrading my one Galaxy 4 watch but not seen too much about it yet. If you have it what do you think? Worth it?

I’ve upgraded from the Galaxy watch 4 to the watch 7, it’s much snappier responding, but otherwise it doesn’t feel like a huge difference. The 8 looks different to the 7 and has a couple of extra metrics that can be measured. There were quite a few deals on the 8 - definitely keep a look out if you want to upgrade, Samsung often do trade-ins etc. If not too fussed about whatever the new metrics are you could also go for the 7, personally I don’t like the look of the 8.

@Silverblue1985 Thanks! I'm not sure about the look of it either (what where they thinking) but I've heard people say it looks better in person. I'll have a look at it in store if possible before I decide. I suspect you are correct that their isn't a huge difference just yet. I'll also consider the 7.

In general, I tend to get the latest model of devices - the software is just going to interface better going forward.
It's not stunning, but it's a sport watch, not a Cartier! 😅And you can probably select a different face.

Have you made a decision about the watch, OP?
I got the Galaxy 8 a few days ago.
Massive learning curve, but I think it's going to be ok.

It's big. This was one of the better faces, imo. But the functionality is very good.

This just in - functionality was good, but charging was terrible. Tried to get Tech Support - hopeless. Sending back. Caveat emptor! 😂
