Book recommendations for a 6 year old!

Hi all,

I have a just turned 6 year old DD, she is going into year 2 in September.

She likes books, and likes to look at books to wind down before bed. She is a good reader, but seems hesitant to try to read books that aren't 'reading books' (think Biff, Chip, and Kipper). I'd love to find some books that arent reading books (no more Biff and Chip! 🤣) that she may be able to read to herself.

Stories she already likes: James and the giant peach, the worst witch, classic fairy tales, The Wishing Chair and Magic Faraway Tree, she also likes anything about animals.

Do you have any recommendations please?

Clever Polly and the Wolf series are good - my 6 year old DD loves these.
She also likes a series called Unicornia.

Holly Webb are easy to read and sweet stories

If she likes animals, I would suggest the animal ark books by Lucy Daniels.
