I have had 5 biscuits and 1 hot chocolate. I've said no to birthday cake, ice cream and the majority of cakes etc. I have lost 1kg. I need to keep saying no. Help me!

Well done.
If you are aiming to lose some weight, or just improve your diet for better general health, you have achieved it this week.
That achievement, then motivates you to do the same the next week.
After a while, it becomes habit.
