Norethisterone (period delay tabs) advice please!

I have an event next week which I don't want to be on my period for. I have been prescribed period delay tablets from my GP , specifically the brand Utovlan.

At the end of July, I decided to test them as I have never this medicine before and I wasnt sure if I would experience adverse effects.

Tablets worked just as they should, and period came 3 days later, no major symptoms, just felt cramps a little stronger than normal..

So my question for those who have used this, did you next period (not the delayed one) arrive back on your usual cycle date ( so shorter cycle) or 28 days for example, after your delayed period.

I am tring to figure out if my period will arrive on my usual cycle date, or 27 days after the delayed period ended.

Mine arrived after the usual amount of time I.e. my cycle shifted and didnt arrive when it originally would have

Thanks, that is what I am hoping will be the case. The leaflet doesnt actually explain what is normal though, so I wondered if it was different for everyone

OP is asking about the period after that. Whether it started when it should in the absence of norethisterone or whether it was 28 days after the delayed period

Sorry, it doesn't take much to confuse me! It started around 28 days after the delayed one.

It adjusts your cycle. So what I usually try and do is if I’m due to come on when im on holiday I will take them the month before to shift my cycle meaning period avoids holiday dates but I don’t need to remember to take the tablets three times a day when im away.

That's good, so my cycle should have adjusted to a couple of days after the event in that case.

It was a bit of pain remembering to take the 3 tablets per day l!

When I take them my cycle adjusts so my next period will still be 27/28 days later.
