How old were you when you became the same height as your parents?

Probably about 13/14 for me

Never. I remember clearly I was 4’2” when I started secondary school and grew a foot in a year, never grew again ! Mum was 5’3 and Dad was 5’8 so I was destined to be short! My sons overtook me when they were about 12/13- both were quite short until early teens and then grew rapidly. They are now 6’1 and 5’11 ( their dad was 6’2)
My mother in law was 5’ exactly and her sister was 4’10, my father in law was 6’ !

That's uncanny! I was taller than my mum at 10, tallest in my class when I started high school at 11, and I reached my adult height of 5'4" by age 12.

I was shorter than my dad when he died. I have always been shorter than my mum too but she started shrinking when i was about 35 so i am taller than her now but not by much.

Overtook my mum at about 14. She was 5’2” , I am 5’5”. My dad was 6 ‘ so never caught up there.

Don't give up! I was 38 when my mum shrank a bit and suddenly I was taller!

I was 39. Mum is 5'8" but a few months ago I noticed she had shrunk so is less than my height of 5'6 now.

Never - unless you count it when they are shrinking with age! My mum was 5’6” and my dad probably 5’9” on a good day. I’m 5’4” and I would say that they are both about my height now.

DC were my height in their early teens. They are late teens/ early 20s now and pretty much the same height as their Father.

Never 😂 I’m the shortest in my family (I’m not even that short- I’m 5’7” but they all call me a shortarse. DM & DS are 5’10”, DF was 6’2” and DB IS 6’4”).

I was as tall as my mum at 9/10 but she was only about 5’4” , I got to 5’8” so never overtook my dad who was about 6’ .

I didn't, I'm still a half inch shorter than mum (5'6"), and dad is taller (5'10").

My eldest beat me at 15 much to her delight, youngest is 14 and has an inch to go.

I didn’t, I’m short. My daughter is a bit shorter than me and has been since she was about 12. My boys are taller and have been since about 11 I guess.

I never did, they are both tall. My young adult DCs are the same height or shorter than me too (DH is from a very short family).

42 - had to wait for her to shrink.

I don’t know for sure, but I think I was fully grown by 13/14 so I guess I would have overtaken Mum aged about 11ish - she’s 5ft 1.5 and I’m 5ft 7.

Dad is 5ft 11 so I’ve never overtaken him!

Well I never reached my dad’s height (about 6ft) but I probably surpassed my mum’s height when I was in late primary or early seniors (not really something I’d remember specifically). She was 5’1” I’m 5’6”.

Not until my 20s when they started to shrink.

No idea. But my parents were both on the short side, my mum was 5’3 and my dad scraped 5’9. I am the same height as him and lucky to be so, as I have 3 sisters that are short.

Can't remember, probably around 14 for my dm. My own ds overtook me at a similar age. He is now 6'2". Not sure dd will be taller than me, she's always been on a lower centile than ds and I've always been told I'm tall for a girl.

Never quite did. I'm not short at 5'8" either but I am the shortest in immediate family.
Ds will Overtake me in early teens I suspect
