I’m v lucky to have decent levels of health and wealth at 60. I’m single with adult DC.
And I’d like to still have things to plan for and to achieve - beyond house and garden.

What would you have in your bucket list?

  1. Visit most of the smaller islands off the UK mainland, and perhaps try out living on one of them
  2. Be largely self-sufficient at home (solar panels, vegetable patch, make my own clothes, etc.)
  3. Finish my house... it feels like the world's longest on-going project at present!
  4. Learn to drive a horse and carriage properly
  5. Learn to play all of my favourite musical instruments to a degree of proficiency. I need to acquire a cello next...
  6. Buy a more grown-up car than my sporty student-esque one
  7. Be bilingual. Welsh is a bit tricky, but I will persist!
  8. Have children, if I can, though it's a bit trickier as a single woman who has no desire to sleep with anyone!

Mine are considerably tamer than some of the above, but perhaps I might branch out as I get older and have more time (if ever I retire...)

Wow I love the idea of learning to drive a horse and carriage - that’s a corker of an idea.

I’ve also added “do a weeks open water swim holiday” to my list

@Bonden I'd highly recommend carriage driving lessons. They are great fun and it's nice to do something that is a bit different! I'd like to try side-saddle, too, but the nearest place to do that is three hours away...

Open water swim holidays sound a bit chilly, if you're staying in the UK! 😁
