Hi, I applied to a LA for SGO for a child in my family, I passed the Viability Assessment and failed the Connected Persons Assessment.
One of the reasons being the Independent Social Worker who did not like me and was corrupt to the core, stated I was not transparent about social services involvement with myself and my child, the only thing I’ve ever had in regards to any authority with my own child is a phone call from the Health Visiting team after a hospital admission as her mother has epilepsy and had a seizure and unfortunately dropped the baby and she hit her head, both went to hospital both was fine, next day HV who I know and recognised asked if all was okay and if we needed any support, given mums medical condition it wasn’t anything we needed help with and I stated baby is okay now, never heard back.
After receiving the disclosure from my local council, who search social records on behalf of the other Local Authority, this showed up as something along the lines of ‘ * child * attended hospital due to mum having a seizure and dropped baby on head, both attended hospital- NFA ‘
The social worker has wrote an addendum report and stated that I was not honest what so ever and failed to disclose this as social services involvement, I’m sorry but my baby is 16 months old I’ve never ever had Social Services involvement nor ever any contact with any Social Worker before hand or current , I thought Early Help was just a team/unit to help at early stages of something, for example to help prevent things or help with things, after googling ‘ Is early help considered a part of social services ‘ it’s saying no, they are not.
I am very much confused where this is social services involvement and where I have failed to disclose any SS involvement.
Am I right in asking the local council for a Right to Erasure as I’ve seen the report of the interview from my Local Council and the woman seems to be waffling a lot of false information, not sure if she was having a bad day but I sure as hell was tarnished, not in regards to this but other stuff.
I disclosed that myself presented to a LA as homeless back in 2018 and had SS involvement then and this was proven,
They also brought information from 2014 up when I would have been 12-13, where again family was homeless and the SS and LA was working together to house my mother and her kids (including me), they also put on there that in 2014 I was in no education but I can prove through attendance records and school welfare manager I was, and that there’s a concern for suspected dr*g use around the household!!!!!. This is completely false information how do I get this removed from my file? Is a right to erasure likely to get anywhere? As I done this with the police as they mixed mine and my brothers identities and they still failed to remove it after proving through CCTV it was not me, just stated a police constable recorded it and they can’t undermine them.
I’ve never even been arrested but was accused of stealing a motor vehicle when I was 11 !! Somehow on my criminal record but no pictures, prints, or photos of me…
This whole system seems so corrupt I am not sure if I’m reading from the wrong page or I’m reading from the right page, but I’ve NEVER had SS contact me about my own kid so I was not giving false information as EH is not social services and it was our HV ringing not any form of SW or authority.
I feel this will potentially be on my name for life and should my child ever have to be vetted in the future this will show and it’s not fair, our HV and community midwife’s say we are brilliant parents I imagine that’s why the NFA, so I’m so confused can someone enlighten me please?
Ill also add that I wasn’t even aware SS was involved in 2014 as I was 12-13 and this wasn’t disclosed to me as a child, obviously I was aware we was homeless and being rehoused after private rent eviction, but nothing of who attends meetings etc, I never see a SW nor communicated with one so how can I disclose something I knew nothing about.
