Omaze New Forest house

Does anyone know where the new Omaze New Forest House is?

I'd like to win it, but as a house I'm not overly keen on it. What's with the lime green sunken seating area in the kitchen! That is the only 'lounge' on the plans. I would be taking out the cupboard in the hall and the ridiculously small 'office' area in the inner hall and creating a door so that the 'cinema room' could be a proper, separate, sitting room. And where would one put a telly in the kitchen lounge area!

Nice to see there is a vegetable garden though... Although it might all be dead by the time the winner gets the keys.

Type Birch Springs, Lyminhton into a search engine

I think it's okay. The cinema room has windows so it pretty much is a separate sitting room, and the only issue is that you have to go into the kitchen to access it. I wouldn't want a TV in the other lounge area; it's nice to have a seating area that doesn't have a TV as a focal point, and if you want to watch something there's a whole room to do it in.

They've got a kind of open partition thing round the sunken lounge in that listing, with a TV in it. I think it's nicer without. Also like that Omaze have redone the kitchen cupboards so they're not all grey.

I would like to win this one and actually live in it.

The issue with the sunken seating area I would have, is small grandchildren and dogs launching themselves off the top aiming for a sofa. I might be able to train the dogs not to do it though. If I'm totally honest my (adult in years) son would probably have a go too, and DH wouldn't be all that trustworthy, but he does need a new hip, so he might be sensible.

You’d think for a new house they’d achieve better than EPC D
