Totally fed up of Seeing crap like "lovely dinner tonight. X had rice, Y had pasta. I didn't chose a starter as there was nothing I liked. But Dave saw lots he liked. We only had a little desert" type of thing, followed by food pics. Urgh. Another one by someone else was "x days until holiday. I need to get organised". YAWN

Tell me if you've closed your fbook account, if you felt like your missing out on anything eg invites to events etc or if you felt LIBERATED

I think Facebook has now sort of moved to an electronic diary or photo album of sorts, to preserve look back on, rather than expecting anyone else to be interested.

My neighbour knocked my door one night looking rather flustered with a plate of food in her hand. I asked her if everything was ok. She said Facebook is down and I need to show you my dinner 😊

Me! I found most of the time i was writing status’ and taking photos for the benefit of other people. How many likes am I going to get? What will people say? It was pathetic. I was living my life and presenting it in a way to please other people. I came off around 4/5 years ago and haven’t regretted it since. Feels amazing to actually live the moment and I do feel a bit sorry for people that feel they need continual validation and feel the need to post everything. It feels sad to witness a family having a mega bust up on a day out, only to see them grinning for the camera a few seconds later - knowing it’s going to be on Facebook with the caption “making memories” or “feeling blessed.”

I’m a closed book on Facebook and only have it for interests not for people, but then I am quite a social hermit anyway. I refuse to belong to any groups that go off topic and all end up fighting with each other 😄 what is that about! When I moved I made the mistake of joining the local groups to see what was going on in the area, what a mistake that was - I soon left.
