Reading Festival - Sunday collection help please .l

After Sunday night at Boardmasters my kid and their mates don't want to stay Sunday night at Reading.

They are camping Thursday, plan to take down the tent Sunday afternoon and then go into watch the last act (singer/band who knows) and then go home.

Is there any way I can get into the festival to collect the tent and then either stay with the car until they are ready to be collected?

Or are their shuttle buses in and out?

I will obviously Google , but real experience is worth so much.

If I remember rightly the festival is in a field about 20 minutes walk from the town centre? It's not in the middle of nowhere at all.

They'll need to give you the stuff at the gate as they can't just let people in without wristbands on the grounds they need to retrieve a tent. So you might need to get there well before their band goes on.

I don't know if there are but might there be lockers or something people can store stuff?

I dropped off DD and her friend this afternoon at the drop off car park, there was a ferry from there to the main gate so they didnt have to walk far. I assume it will be working over the reat of the weekend for pick ups.

I'm south of the river so didn't want to cross to the car park, as I don't think I'd ever get back out 😂

Well that was a trouble free drop off, got there for 6.30 and lots of kids walking with packs. Thanks @NameChangePoP having map and directions made it so much easier.

Have seen a picture of their tents but won't heat again from him until tomorrow.
