Hello,

I called DLA today to update my sons school and to let them know he has a CAMHS options meeting next week. They told me on the phone that his case is now in the final stages and with a decision maker. I was just wondering from anyone's else experience when it's handed to a decision maker- how long roughly should I be waiting for an outcome.

Thank you!

Kasey

Usually within days, though can be abit longer. If awarded you'll get backpack in your account before you'll receive the letter

Just be aware that often they tell you what you want to hear and I've been told my claim was with a decision maker several times, only to ring back and be told it's in the queue. I was also told that the people you speak to can't actually see if it's with a decision maker or not, only a case manager has that information, and they only can see if an award has been made.
