Worried about planned KIT day

My baby is 9 months and will be with DH.
EBF & weaning ok but not eating loads. BF every 3-4 hours usually but sometimes throws me a curveball and wants more. Won’t take a bottle and unreliable with a cup as of the last couple of weeks.

I return to work at 11 months, but I have a couple of KIT days scheduled end of this week and next. Due to the nature of them there will be no opportunity or suitable place to express. This will be from 10-4:30, possibly 5pm.

This isn’t my employer’s fault as I volunteered to do the KIT days a few months ago and assumed this would be ok as thought weaning would be much more progressed and milk feeds dropped, which isn’t the case in fact she is feeding just as much as ever from me. I thought she would take a cup of milk but doesn’t seem keen and just wants to BF lots at the moment, I think teething or possibly growth spurt related but who knows.

Is it a fair compromise to offer to go 10-2 instead? I am worried this will look flaky and like I’m trying to get out of work, but with the forecasted heatwave and inability to express I am concerned about mastitis.

I’m pretty sure they have to legally provide you with time and a space to express. I’d look into this and if they can’t, just do a half day.

Can the baby be brought to you at lunchtime for a feed?
