My lovely mother in law gave me a load of tomatoes from their allotment. I randomly decided to make tomato sauce to freeze to use in pastas.

I CANNOT cook!

I threw them in the oven with: a spray of olive oil, salt and pepper, garlic and onion.

I'm peeling off the skins (is this the right thing to do?)

But... they're all seedy. I don't want seedy sauce! All the recipes I've since googled say cut the seeds out first whixh I'm obviously too late for.

I've got a blender - should I blend then sieve??

Do i include all of the clear juice stuff? Have I just wasted loads of yummy tomatoes?

Is peel them, chuck them in a blender along with the juice and oil from the roasting tray the sieve it.
add in all the seasoning too then back in a pot to reduce it and thicken it up.
im not the best cook but i can get by

Blend then sieve ( and add some tomato purée and a good glug of olive oil )

Ah - hadn't thought of reducing it after! I inherited this blender and was overly excited to use it! 🤩

You won't go far wrong don't worry. Taste and potentially add a little sugar to counteract acidity.

If you want a sauce with pasta you could also add a splash of vodka for a bit of a kick.
