How to get a French phone number whilst on holiday in France?

I can't believe this seems to be so difficult!

I am currently on holiday in France and want to do an online supermarket delivery but it needs a French phone number - which makes sense!
Does anyone have any advice on what the best way is to buy an eSim online which also includes a number and text facility - not just data?

Do you actually need to be contactable with it? I’d assume it was just in case of a delay with your order or whatever. You could try my old one 06 23 72 93 60 and see what happens. I’ve not got it any more, moved back to the UK!

If it is a landline number it will be in a telephone directory because there is no exdirectory option in france
