IleftmybaginNewportPagnell · 09/08/2025 21:44

Here We Go - funniest thing in ages

InNewYorkNoShoes · 09/08/2025 21:44

Catastrophe.

Trushy · 09/08/2025 21:45

Ted Lasso

Chinyreckon · 09/08/2025 21:46

The American Office. So I know you said British Comedy, that’s my preference too, and if you like the British version you have to push through the first episodes that just feel wrong, but then the characters, the writing and the comedy is brilliant.

PhaseFour · 09/08/2025 21:46

Ideal - BBC iplayer.

SwankyPants · 09/08/2025 21:46

League of Gentlemen

Judiezones · 09/08/2025 21:46

Friday Night Dinner
Camping (the British one with Julia Davis, not the awful American version).

BeMellowAquaSquid · 09/08/2025 21:47

Gosh I don’t think anything will ever compare to Motherland that was absolutely blooming off the scale.

PhaseFour · 09/08/2025 21:47

I second Here We Go.
Also Derry Girls.

KittenyChops · 09/08/2025 21:48

@IleftmybaginNewportPagnell now I was considering that as my next show - but I wasn’t sure. I may give it a go

@Judiezones I like Julia Davis so I’ll check out Camping - not heard of it. I really liked Nighty Night

Ghosts

reversegear · 09/08/2025 21:51

That’s my go to list as well and loved breeders, it’s a bit darker but still great. Friday night dinner is just a classic and I’m going to assume you’ve already watched Gavin and Stacey?

I finished Series 3 last night, was so funny. Also Two Doors Down.

KittenyChops · 09/08/2025 21:52

Although I’ve just read how they film Here we go! I absolutely can’t watch anything filmed via a handheld camera! I was horribly sick back in the day watching the Blair witch project 🤣

Obviously you’ve watched Gavin and Stacey OP?
If you have, cracking.
If you haven’t, what’s occurring?

Tutorpuzzle · 09/08/2025 21:56

This Country, Detectorists, and, of course Father Ted.

Just watched a couple of very dark Irish comedy dramas on Netflix, Bodkin and Obituary.

Good thread..a good few here I’ve not heard of.

KittenyChops · 09/08/2025 21:57

Ha yes. Have seen Gavin & Stacey and of course it’s a classic. I’m not a die hard fan but I like it

I’m Alan Partridge also a fave.
