... please tell me what make and model it is.

Mine was a Which? recommendation but has been a disappointment and needs to be replaced.

Am just about to order a Miele one after suffering a shitty Sharp one for 3 years. It’s so annoying. The things that hold the prongs are flimsy and useless, the tablet compartment drawer fell off within about 10 months, and it is FOREVER telling me it’s blocked. It’s going to the tip with the equally shit Sharp Aquos tv.

Bosch, probably around 10 years old still going strong. We did have to put a new part in in about 5 years ago but it's fine.

We had our kitchen redone last year, the builders were amazed we didn't buy a new one.

EverardDeTroyes · 09/08/2025 18:59

Bosch and yes perfectly happy with it. I've had it years - can't remember how many exactly but guessing about 10 plus - and I've never had to do anything to it. Prior to that I had a 2nd hand Bosch which lasted me approximately 15 years. Again, nothing went wrong with it - well, something must have for me to buy my current one but I can't remember what happened. It didn't regularly go wrong is what I meant.

Bosch Series 6. Consistently great.

theemmadilemma · 09/08/2025 20:19

The Nef one that was here could have only lasted 5 years max. The Beko we replaced it with is going strong after 2 with 0 complaints.

MrsClatterbuck · 14/08/2025 23:29

In our old house we had a Siemens which was 19 years old when we moved and
was still going strong. New one was a Candy and lasted 7 years which the person installing our new Bosch said was surprised it lasted that long.

Sausagescanfly · 14/08/2025 23:38

We have a newish Bosch and an older Miele. The Miele one is better laid out, has better controls and a cutlery basket, which we much prefer. We'd go with the Miele again, rather than the Bosch. The Miele one has needed some repairs, but does seem to still be going fine.

HÆLTHEPAIN · 14/08/2025 23:45

Bosch. 11 years old now. Not wanting to jinx it but it’s still going strong.

ReallyNeedingSleep · 19/08/2025 07:26

We have a Siemens IQ300, its about a year old but so far we've been really happy with it and it always washes dishes perfectly. Prior to that we had a Samsung, absolutely dire, initially started off ok despite the internal layout being very strange (i.e plates sat too close together, the prongs were shaped oddly meaning pasta bowls didn't sit very well and the very naff cutlery basket was designed in such a peculiar way that everything nested together and didnt wash well and had to be placed into the bottom rack in a "specific" way) but after 5 months I started noticing the wash performance decline and a very particular odour (which I actually thought was the kitchen sink plughole), the following week I'd gone into the kitchen and noticed the floor was very wet, turns out the dishwasher had been leaking for a little while because the door had buckled!

5 year old Miele. Replaced a 15 year old Miele when it finally broke. I would get another if we needed a new one.

TimSamandLulu · 19/08/2025 07:31

I’ve got a Bosch, had it about 4 years and zero issues.

TappyGilmore · 19/08/2025 07:31

Miele, don’t know the model but it’s great and would recommend.

My mother has a 25 year old Bosch, again don’t know the model and would imagine that it’s not available anymore, but that’s still going great too!

NinetyNineRedBalloonsGoBy · 19/08/2025 07:32

Always Bosch

ThePoshUns · 19/08/2025 07:33

Mines a Bosch integrated one, 8 years old. No issues so far .

Unicornsandprincesses · 19/08/2025 07:34

Bosch with a top cutlery rack 10/10

Fleur405 · 19/08/2025 07:38

We’ve got a Bosch which is about 2 years old, maybe 3. It’s very quiet and has an adjustable top rack so we can fit tall things in the bottom rack when we need to.

TeaAndStrumpets · 19/08/2025 08:06

At the moment we have a Beko which we are leaving behind when we move house, but will probably get a a Bosch for the new house.

We also had an everlasting Bosch previously, which died suddenly after 20 years so we replaced it. Normal people don't dismantle old machinery for fun but DH thought he'd investigate the Bosch and found a plastic medicine spoon jammed in the pump...he was not pleased! The new machine was plumbed in by then.

gingercat02 · 19/08/2025 08:09

Miele. Don't know the model. Ive had it for about 10 years. I got it in a MN product test, so it was free, but I do love it.

workingitout1234 · 19/08/2025 08:09

Miele and it’s amazing worth the extra spend

Ruggerlass · 19/08/2025 08:22

AEG integrated. Had it 13 years. Had to replace a door seal but that’s all.

GenerousGardener · 19/08/2025 08:29

Grundig. Had it about two years. Opens the door when is finished, has a cutlery tray and a cutlery basket (if you need it). Has an eco wash and a high intensity wash, along with a baking tray wash (if never used it). It does the job.

CuriousKangaroo · 19/08/2025 08:31

We have a Miele. Still going strong around 7 years later.

larkstar · 19/08/2025 08:37

NEFF fitted in January 2006. They share many of the same parts with Bosch as they are separate companies in a group all owned by the same parent company but NEFF has a much smaller range than Bosch and NEFF really focus on built in units not standalone equipment so they're ideal for kitchen equipment.

larkstar · 19/08/2025 08:44

This is the only part I've replaced on my dishwasher - a filter bought from Amazon that fits various Bosch, Siemens and NEFF models.

If you have had your dishwasher more than 2 years and are very happy with it ...
HerewardtheSleepy · 19/08/2025 08:46

Bosch. Our previous Lamona lasted over 10 years and TBH was better laid out and held more.
