... please tell me what make and model it is.

Mine was a Which? recommendation but has been a disappointment and needs to be replaced.

Miele G4210
9 years old and has never given me a moments trouble.

the80sweregreat · 09/08/2025 10:25

My Miele , it’s over 10 years old now and going strong.

GrooveArmada · 09/08/2025 10:28

PS - my current Hisense has a cutlery tray too, I wouldn't buy a dishwasher without it ever again.

We have a Miele and a Bosch and they are both great. Don't by a Neff, whatever you do.

We bought a Neff and had 3 service visits in 18mths. Once for a broken O ring, once to replace the pump and I cannot remember the other reason however they were all manufacturer related. John Lewis were no help and neither were Neff and that was surprising.

On the other hand last year my son bought a 17 year old house with the original Neff integrated dishwasher and it's still going strong.

I have a 14 year old Bosch, my Bosch washing machine is 13 years old, before that I had a cheap indesit which lasted for 17 years.

My mother only just had to replace a 31 year old Bosch dishwasher.

HappilyUrbanTrimmer · 09/08/2025 10:44

We have a bosch slimline integrated dishwasher that is 7 years old now. It replaced a similar 25yo one we inherited and used for many years before it died. We have needed minor repairs a couple of times over the years at less than £100 each time due to wear and tear of replaceable parts. Most of our appliances are Bosch as I've never had anything from them I wasn't happy with. Our tumble drier isn't as their dimensions weren't quite right for the space we had.

Meadowfinch · 09/08/2025 10:45

13yo Bosch. still going strong. No issues yet.

2Magpies24 · 09/08/2025 10:50

Interested to see so many people praising Bosch. We got one in 2022 (as part of full Bosch new kitchen) and the engineer has been out 6 times for dishwasher alone! He has also been out frequently for other appliances, I think he must think I fancy him. It’s completely ridiculous and I’m so upset about it all, we paid top dollar on which recommendation for beepy, breaky Bosch. And since it’s been out of warranty, customer services have gone from nice to rude. Never again.

poetryandwine · 09/08/2025 10:52

Our best dishwasher was a Bosch; I don’t remember the model. A great machine.

We currently have one of the relatively less expensive Mieles, still our most expensive dishwasher ever, by far. We must be the only people on the planet not impressed by the brand. We haven’t changed habits but about 10% of plates and cutlery do not get clean.
If it ever dies we will revert to Bosch

Fundays12 · 09/08/2025 10:52

I have a bosh washing machine and dishwasher. They are fantastic and everything comes out spotless. I had a candy dishwasher before and it was awful.

Atina321 · 09/08/2025 10:53

Beko - on my third in 15 years. The fancy Smeg we got when we had the kitchen done was rubbish.

Your Bosch experience is like my Miele experience, but worse. Weird, isn’t it?

Kpo58 · 09/08/2025 10:58

I love my Bosch serie 2.

I'm not sure what my mil has, but the layout inside is complete crap. Because the plates go from front to back insides of sideways in it, it's not wide enough for 2 plates widthways and for some reason not many can go in each lane. The upper drawer wasn't any better and as it had the flap down bits to put knives on, it cannot fit even mugs under it. Also her cutlery basket is useless as it only fits really narrow handled cutlery and you cannot put the kitchen knives, peeler, etc in it. I just cannot believe what a poor design the dishwasher is and how any actually sold.

cyvguhb · 09/08/2025 11:01

Bosch owner here too, I've had my current one for 4 years and the previous one for nearly 8. I don't know what model it is. I have Bosch for washing machine and tumble drier too always find them reliable

Sgtmajormummy · 09/08/2025 11:12

I have a 16yo basic Bosch which I now have to use more considerately, so powder rather than tabs, weekly filter clean out, occasionally a pre-rinse (I use the 30 minute setting) and more space between deep-rimmed plates on the bottom rack.
But it doesn’t owe me anything and eventually I’ll replace it with another Bosch. I also have a Bosch cooker hood, no complaints. I’m loyal to Bosch and Philips, DMIL would only have Miele.

almondfinger · 09/08/2025 11:23

Miele - 7 years old cutlery drawer on top which I was initially dubious about but love. Things do sometimes get caught in the drain due to kids not cleaning plates off properly before loading.

Bosch previously - I think I loved it more then the Miele, but for the integration the kitchen man recommended Miele as easier to open with handleless doors.

Discobooloo · 09/08/2025 11:29

Whirlpool slim one. About 8 years, was included in new kitchen. Couldn't be without it.

goplacidly · 09/08/2025 11:32

Bosch. The one we have is now 19 years old!!!

GarlicLitre · 09/08/2025 11:42

30-year-old Bosch. Actually it's 40 but I haven't been able to plumb it in here, so can't say it's been working that long. Still haven't decided whether to get a tabletop one or seek the HA's permission to have extra plumbing installed.

Built in Belling, 5 years old, no problems so far.

Just looked back, it’s 8 years.
the other kitchen appliances are all Belling. Just one problem , replaced an element in the roof of the oven 3 years ago.

LoudPlumDog · 09/08/2025 15:45

Low range Miele. An absolute workhorse.

Bosch silent one, it’s amazing

Same! I love it to the point that I want to replace my rubbish washer & dryer with Bosch ones now!

We did get a Bosch washing machine and it, too, is great so far. Only a couple of months, though.

fussychica · 09/08/2025 18:28

Bosch, slimline, integrated. 10 years old. Best cleaning of any dishwasher I've had.

thatsnothtepoint · 09/08/2025 18:49

Integrated Neff, 20 trouble free years.
