... please tell me what make and model it is.

Mine was a Which? recommendation but has been a disappointment and needs to be replaced.

Had a Bosch at our old place that must have been 20 years old. Finally replaced it with an integrated Bosch 3 years ago and it’s so silent!

DinoLil · 09/08/2025 08:37

Beko. Had it 7yrs and is just great!

Bosch always had Bosch dishwashers, they usually last between 6-10 years and.

Just replaced my 8 yr old slim line Bosch, with exactly the same, just newer

Love my Bosch SMV4HAX40G. The thing i thought would be gimmicky is the Homeconnect app ... but it's awesome. I can remote start the dishwasher and I can select loads of programmes (more than the buttons on the dishwasher itself) which is very handy when I want eg a speedy 30 mins wash.

14 year old bosch left in our old house when we moved.

? Year old bosch (I'd guess 8y, based on when I know the kitchen was done) in the new house.

Personally, I hate the fact the new one beeps incessantly at you once done. So I'd look for one where that facility can be switched off next time.

RedRiverShore5 · 09/08/2025 08:43

Bosch series 4 slimline, we have had it about 4 years I think and very pleased with it, I would buy another similar one

saveforthat · 09/08/2025 08:46

Siemens about 23 years old. Been repaired twice. I never empty the dishwasher as soon as it finishes so I don't need one that beeps.

EllaAnnie · 09/08/2025 08:47

We have a Miele and a Bosch and they are both great. Don't by a Neff, whatever you do.

We bought a Neff and had 3 service visits in 18mths. Once for a broken O ring, once to replace the pump and I cannot remember the other reason however they were all manufacturer related. John Lewis were no help and neither were Neff and that was surprising.

elastamum · 09/08/2025 08:48

Bosch. Put in in 2008 when we moved in. Has been running every day since.

alloutofcareunits · 09/08/2025 08:59

Ours is an integral Hotpoint, don’t know the price as it was part of the kitchen when we had it built and fitted but I doubt it was expensive. 11 years old now, nothing at all wrong with it

ElectricMagpie · 09/08/2025 09:06

A 9 year old slimline Beko which I paid about 200 for. It left some debris every wash a few years ago which turned out to be because I'd not cleaned it in all that time. Some TLC (and unclogging the impellor tubes) and it's good as new!

Icedlatteplease · 09/08/2025 09:12

Beko, cheapass slimline one 14 years old roughly

TheFairyCaravan · 09/08/2025 09:12

We’ve got a Bosch integrated one. It’s so silent you don’t even know it’s running. It projects a little red light on to the floor to remind you.

cashmerecardigans · 09/08/2025 09:21

Miele, it’s brilliant and has game changing cutlery drawer at the top

MontyDonsBlueScarf · 09/08/2025 09:22

After trying, basic and then mid range models from various manufacturers and eventually ending up disappointed, I bought a Miele 6620 over 15 years ago. It had one service visit in the early days because we didn't have the drainage set up properly. Once that was fixed it has been no trouble and still cleans brilliantly.

Neff (and Siemens) are all the same company as bosch.

Bosch Series 2 dishwasher here. Now 2 years old with no issues. One before that lasted 13 years (Bosch Clasixx model I think). Only 2 of us here and probably gets used every other day.

I've also been impressed at the longevity of Beko appliances, fridge and freezer last 14 years.

gianfrancogorgonzola · 09/08/2025 09:57

Bosch - bought in 2008

MaggieBsBoat · 09/08/2025 09:59

Any Miele or Bosch. Our current Bosch we’ve had for 8 years no issues. Our Miele was around 15 and we only bought a new one as my MIL had asked for our Miele as it fitted in her kitchen (cheeky so and so)

isthismylifenow · 09/08/2025 10:02

Entry level Miele.

With the cutlery tray. Which is so much better than the basket imo.

user1497787065 · 09/08/2025 10:03

I have a ten year old Neff

Mine is a 3yr old bosch that doesn't beep or flash when it's finished, the screen just goes off. As a result everything stays damp for longer because the door doesnt get opened. I literally hate it. Don't get a dishwasher than doesn't beep or flash (never knew it was a thing until it was too late).

Our Bosch opens itself when near the end.

Check the settings for it as an option. Otherwise hope it breaks and check the options when you buy the next one.

Our last dishwasher was a bottom of the range Bosch and I did regret getting such a basic one. It lasted about 7 years which I was a bit disappointed with because we've generally got about 12 years or more from our appliances. But when I chose the current one, I was a bit more thoughtful about what features mattered to me, unlike the previous one where I thought 'they all do the washing up, what else is needed'.

Toogoodtowaste · 09/08/2025 10:13

Hotpoint H7F HP43 X UK bought direct from Hotpoint.

TheDogsMother · 09/08/2025 10:15

Mid range Neff integrated. it has the cutlery tray at the top and has a drying stage so nothing is drippy when you take it out. It also projects time to end of cycle onto the kitchen floor. We had it fitted when we re did the kitchen eight years ago. Hope I don’t jinx it now 😮

selondon28 · 09/08/2025 10:18

Miele, their cutlery trays are amazing, let you fit so much more in the bottom level
