Silver jewellery prices.

Posting here for traffic!

I sent off some jewellery that I no longer wear to one of those places that send you a postage bag and you post all your stuff to them.

I Sent a pair of Tiffany earring (very ugly large hoops and not very heavy), a Tiffany charm bracelet and charms and a silver ring with a very small diamond in it. They have text and offered me £267 for the whole lot and I have no idea if that’s a decent price or not.

Does anyone have any idea? I really have no clue what I was expecting, I was hoping for around £300 so not far off.

Would you accept the price?

To be honest, I'd have got a valuation from a jeweller or auctioneer first, especially if some of it is Tiffany. Cash for jewellery places don't care - they bulk buy and don't offer all that much more than scrap value by weight plus a bit more if they think they can sell the items instead of sending them to be melted down.

If it isn't all that far off what you wanted, you might as well now.

If it’s Tiffany, that will be reflected in the price they offer you as there’s a market for it. Small gems don’t have much value individually, so you would probably just be offered the silver weight price otherwise. Did you weigh the pieces before you sent them off? Silver is about 92p per gram at the moment, and I would assume they will offer between 2/3 and 3/4 of that.

Are they offering based on the weight or the brand? If its the weight, get it all back.
