Do your DC busk?

If so do you have any advice for DS who would like to try it at Christmas? He doesn't sing but plays guitar. He's very good and he'd like to earn some money for a charity that's important to him. We live in a safe city but it does have a set of regular loud messy drunks who hover in the centre and I'm worried about him getting robbed, so I will sit very close. He doesn't need a license and I haven't seen any age restrictions on the council website. Anything else we should know?

Don’t you have to get permission? I’m sure there’s such a thing as a busking licence?

No, not where we live.

I don't have any advice but last Christmas a young girl- about 14/15- played violin in Lincoln city centre. She was really good and had a lot of interest. There was a lady I assume was her mother near by at all times.
