He's been in loads of things but never as the main character I don't think but he's instantly recognisable

Oh gawd. I've just looked him up and realised j get him.kixed up with rafe spall even though I know what rafe looks like and i knkw it's rafe. I similarly used to get Jennifer Ehle amd Natasha Little mixed up. Done things like think I'm watching one when it was the other and got to episode 6 or something of some drama before realising my mistake.. Done it with other celebs too. As a Scouser who lived the Liver Birds when I.was little I've just got to sing this song ..the opening titles ,it was filmed not far from our old house in South Liverpool quite often
