They are really easy to grow in pots! I'm not particularly green fingered. Just got some seedlings from the garden centre, one from b&q did particularly well, compost, water fairly regularly. You get about 3 years out of each plant. I don't bring them in over winter and they just come back

Well that’s a job now at the top of the list, thank you!

Pears but they have to be ripe, sweet & juicy.

And nectarines.
And grapes and ……………

British King cherries are pretty amazing at the moment. Love the big boxes of them that Tesco sell.

Coming out soon...Victoria Plums.

Yes! I look forward to these every September. I am not a huge fruit fan but adore Victoria plums.

MotherofPearl · 07/08/2025 20:13

Surprised to see so many saying melon and watermelon. 🤢

Sharkpenis · 07/08/2025 20:41

Lychees

Crucible · 07/08/2025 22:13

Pears. Closely followed by bananas (perfect breakfast in a hurry)
I adore Minneolas but they're a hybrid that comes into the shop.once every other millenia.

Crucible · 07/08/2025 22:14

Oh and a very ripe nectarine but the good ones are hard to find

burblish · 08/08/2025 03:19

Lychees
Indian mangoes (especially Alphonso and Langda varieties)
Black cherries
Watermelon
Physalis (again, the Indian varieties)
Guavas (sorry to be a broken record, but Indian rather than South American varieties)
Sankh aloo (that's the Hindi name - I don't know what it's called in English, I'm afraid, but Google tells me it's like jicama which is popular in Mexico)
