Mine's passion fruit.

Mango

DramaAlpaca · 05/08/2025 16:56

Mango, fresh pineapple and blueberries

InSpainTheRain · 05/08/2025 16:57

Really dark juicy cherries. I bought some from Kent (UK) in M and S the other day. They were ridiculously expensive but tasted amazing.

Charentais melon or greengages,

PainterInPeril · 05/08/2025 17:00

Cherries picked from my garden, especially if they're still hot from the sun. Had my first harvest this year and have never tasted anything so good.🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒

Lychees.

Aparecium · 05/08/2025 17:41

Eating fruit you've grown and picked yourself is awesome. Particularly if it can go straight from the plant to your mouth, sun-warmed and wonderful.

DinoLil · 05/08/2025 17:45

Another for passion fruit. Closely followed by pineapple.

houwseevryweekend · 05/08/2025 18:03

Strawberries. Though the fruit I would miss most if there was a shortage or we stopped importing them is bananas. Can’t start the day without one!

muddyford · 05/08/2025 18:08

Mango eaten a few feet from where it was grown. But back here in England, raspberries, cherries and greengages.

saveforthat · 05/08/2025 18:11

Red grapes

I love a gooseberry. I remember when I was a kid in the 80s we’d have big punnets of gooseberries, but now I never see them, and if I see them for sale they’re quite sour.
I had some in Finland a couple of years back, they were delicious, so sweet and enormous just as I remembered. I wonder if they prefer cooler summers or something?

Same! Would love to know the answer to this!

passthebiscuittins · 05/08/2025 19:34

Banana

Unilaterallyinsane · 05/08/2025 19:37

Fresh pineapple

CrowMate · 05/08/2025 19:38

Pomelo in the winter and watermelon in the summer.

TomatoSandwiches · 05/08/2025 19:39

Strawberries, peaches and rhubarb.

MolkosTeenageAngst · 05/08/2025 19:39

Mango, pineapple or raspberries. All delicious when they’re fresh, ripe and in season. All of them also have a lot of scope to be disappointing though!

Cherrysoup · 05/08/2025 19:40

Currently all the free stuff in the parks, blackberries, raspberries, apples. I’ve made jam, but mostly just cooked them all up or eaten raw.

lostmyearringsagain · 05/08/2025 19:43

Honeydew melon.
Snowball melon.
Strawberries.

Me too. One of my favourite memories was driving up to Sydney in the back of my friends mum's panel van on the way to see Jesus Christ Superstar. We stopped at the shops and each bought a big bag of black heart cherries. We lay in the back spitting the stones out the windows.(I know, but we were 14). Sadly now I.love cherries but they don't love me.

LittlleMy · 05/08/2025 20:03

I'llBuyThatForADollar · 05/08/2025 20:07

Ooh Sharon fruit/persimmon. Too many smushy ones in the supermarkets at the moment though!
