Mine's passion fruit.

Raspberries
Ripe blackberries
Mangoes but not the awful hard sour type you get in UK supermarkets - it has to be the Indian bright yellow ones (alphonso/kesar I think they're called). I grew up only having tried the Indian ones and the first time I had supermarket ones I was shocked, doesn't even taste like the same fruit!

DeirdreChambersWhatACoincidence · 06/08/2025 15:24

I live all the fruit but especially pineapple, fresh plums and strawberries.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 06/08/2025 15:26

Picota cherries. I love all cherries, but for about a month, each summer, you can buy picota cherries from all the supermarkets - they are absolutely the best flavour, and cost £1 a punnet, instead of £2.50-£3 for the same weight of cherries the rest of the year.

Sadly picota cherry season ended last week, so I am in mourning.

myrtleberry · 06/08/2025 15:29

raspberries, then blueberries

OverlyFragrant · 06/08/2025 15:29

Cherries.
Their season is so short but so worth it.

magpie234 · 06/08/2025 15:30

Raspberries. But nothing beats peaches (warm from the sun ideally!) with Greek yoghurt and honey on holiday!

Celeryedition · 06/08/2025 15:30

I’ve just finished a very lovely white flesh nectarine.
Mangosteen - but almost impossible to get anymore.
Rainier Cherries - M&S sell them for about seven minutes every year.

TaborlinTheGreat · 06/08/2025 15:31

Can't decide between cherries and peaches!

AffIt · 06/08/2025 15:36

I really like a nice pear, especially with cheese.

Getting a pear exactly in the 'perfect eating window' of not too hard, not too squishy and sweet without being too sweet feels like winning the lotto.

CharlesPetrescu · 06/08/2025 15:47

Cherimoya. I had never heard of them before until I tried one from a market in Spain and it was delicious 😋

familyissues12345 · 06/08/2025 15:50

I’m allergic to most, annoyingly, but my fave of the rest is satsuma! 😋

TheOliveFinch · 06/08/2025 15:50

Raspberries and pineapple are favourites but I love most fruit apart from apricots

Yuja · 06/08/2025 15:52

Dragonfruit, closely followed by Watermelon. But they’re best eaten in SE Asia where I’m from! For a closer to home fruit I love pears but only when hard - not a fan once they ripen

Pabbel · 06/08/2025 15:55

Coming out soon...Victoria Plums.

popbingo · 06/08/2025 17:00

Grapes!

Ilovemyshed · 06/08/2025 17:05

Cherry tomatoes, straight off the vine.

pineapple.

devildeepbluesea · 06/08/2025 17:12

Pineapple.

All future mangoes ruined by the experience of eating a ripe one fresh from the tree, in a pool in the hills of Réunion. That particular mango was my favourite fruit ever though.

Bearinthesmallmessyflat · 06/08/2025 17:17

Raspberries and blackberries but it more about the ritual of going back to the same places I’ve been going since I was a tot to pick them every year and the treat of finding them somewhere unexpected than the fruit itself.

Dweetfidilove · 06/08/2025 17:21

This depends on the country I'm in. Currently England- cherries, ripe nectarines and market oranges.

DollyMixers · 06/08/2025 17:23

Raspberries or cherries

deeahgwitch · 06/08/2025 17:34

Mango

NasiDagang · 06/08/2025 17:35

Rambutan or durian from Malaysia.

I know what you mean with regards to mangoes. I have always been a mango hater, having only tried the ones from supermarket, but a colleague once gave me the yellow/ Indian one and oh my goodness! They are so delicious I could eat a whole one by myself!

My favourite are strawberries but only in season and not the imported ones. I also love cherries but again, only in season.

I’d love to try one.
The description is intriguing- “…. a sweet heart shaped fruit with creamy custard like flesh…………….often described as a blend of pineapple, banana, strawberry, papaya and peach…..”
Sounds delicious.
