Whisky Collectors

Not sure if I’ve posted on the right forum. Also posted on 90 day.

Since having more time to delve into my hobbies after separating from DH, I’ve found my enjoyment of collecting whiskies from the obscure to the common.
I’m a huge Whisky fan, Japanese whiskies being my favourite. Just wanted to see who’s out there and talk about all things whisky.

I have 2 bottles for sale. Limited editions.

Arran Whisky is a real treat

Noshadelamp · 05/08/2025 02:07

My DH is but it's me who does the research and collecting/purchasing for him.
I've been tempted to buy Japanese whisky for a while, but worry he won't like it.
How is it different to Scottish whisky?

We got a bottle of Filey whisky when we were in Yorkshire a couple of years ago. It was very nice, quite light and very drinkable.

@Noshadelamp I would personally highly recommend Japanese whisky. Hibiki and Yamazaki are my personal favourites.
Scottish are more smoky and peaty whereas Japanese comes across more subtle and smooth.

@Foolsgold74 which 2 do you have for sale?

@SkiAndTravelTheWorldWithMyDog & @SquirrelsInaCircle I’ve never had the pleasure to try these 2 will have to now.
