Feeling exhausted, no social battery

I'm increasingly feeling exhausted all the time. I have a demanding job and young children but I'm now even avoiding making social plans as I must feel tired all the time and making conversation (even with my sister or my parents) is so draining.

Anyone else feeling this?

I have always been introverted and my social battery runs low but it seems to be happening more and more easily.

Yes, I totally sympathise. My energy goes on the things I need to do, not the things I like to do. It takes me a day to recover from my working week. I’m aware this is how activity with people affects me and I try and ensure I’ve got some time to myself to recharge but balancing that with some social interaction or I will wake up one day and realise I am a social recluse.

Sounds like you need some time for yourself just to relax, unwind etc. Do you take a vitamin supplement? That could help with energy levels.
Juggling work and family takes its toll.

I'm sorry you're feeling the same @Newbeginningsandhappy but thanks for the reply.

@24Dogcuddler I have from time to time but not at the moment. It's a good idea.

I know I probably need to eat and sleep better too. I tend to go to sleep late to grab some free time to watch tv or read a book and then I'm tired the next day, which is my own fault.

I'm finding myself making fewer social plans but then it's a bit of a vicious cycle as not doing much makes me feel down and bored.

Finding a balance is hard isn't it? Recently I've found I need to go to bed earlier and do less. I had a long-standing thing last Friday and my god I was so tired afterwards!

I definitely need to go to bed earlier. With a busy job and young DC I usually only get to sit and read a book or watch a film or even doing bits of admin after they've gone to bed so I often spend 2+ hours doing that and it's often 11:30 when I actually go to sleep and then I get up early

I may try to have even just two days a week when I try to go straight to bed without reading or listening to something
