DP's face

DP has had a beard since before I met him, the only photos I have seen of him without it are as a teenager, or when he was in the army in his 20s. We are both mid 40s.

I got home today and the beard is gone, no warning. It was a big shock! DD3 asked him who stole his beard and was very shocked that he has a chin.

I'm not sure how I feel about it, I keep looking at him. He is undoubtedly attractive, but I'm not sure I fancy him with a naked face.

My husband did this a couple years ago on holidays, he had instant regret so thankfully started growing the stubble back again.

How does he feel about the clean shaven look on himself?

My Dh shaved his beard (or 20 years) AND his head (he usually keeps it very short as fairly bald but this was totally off) while I was away. He looked like a boiled egg😂
I didn't like it but said nothing and quickly regrew it so I don't think he liked it either. Give it a day or two...either you'll get used to it or he won't :)

He went to the barbers for a hair and beard trim and decided to do it on a whim, he has no razor etc at home so I'm guessing it won't last long unless he gets himself equipped for shaving.

Its a massive difference!

He asked me this morning if I liked it and I told him he preferred the beard. He thinks shaved is better for work, ecause its smarter. I said he does look more friendly because you can see more of his smile, but I don't think people mind if their window cleaner has a beard.

I understand how it can be a shock for you. It's not as if he is someone who has just followed fashion or been lazy as many men over the last few years seem to have been. Especially if he is one of the few that look good with a beard.

He hasn't shaved since so I'm guessing the beard is coming back, thank goodness! In a week he will be able to go get it trimmed and shaped.

It was never scraggly, always neat and I genuinely think it suits him.
