Any country to move to that's really cheap and safe-ish for women?

I was just thinking I wish I was a bloke, I'd go stay somewhere cheap near a beach. Hell, or just on a beach even. Thailand or somewhere like that.
Like screw the rent rat race when I could just go live in a cheap hostel in the sun on my savings. At least for a fair while. Write a book or two like I always wanted to.

Too risky as a woman I think. I suppose i'm not really the hostel sort to be fair. Like to have my own bathroom space xD

But it got me wondering if there were countries that were cheap and safe enough for women to just bugger off too and chill in without too much stress?

Anyone ever done something like this?

Um no, I mean I wouldn’t go to Afghanistan, but it wouldn’t occur to me not to go to most places because I’m a woman.

And yes, I’ve travelled alone in remote places.

My friend regularly goes to Thailand alone for about 3 months at a time. She doesn't live there yet but is thinking of doing so. She has never felt unsafe as far as I am aware.

I lived in Thailand for many years. Up north in the mountains down south on the islands. Never felt unsafe once. You can get a clean comfortable room for under £500 pm
