Minor car damage - how to proceed

This morning I was sitting in my car in a small car park. Driver of the car next to me gets into her car, her car door bangs into my car. There’s a paint scuff line, dent and chipped paint down to bare metal where her door has hit it. She apologised and said she would pay to repair. I took her name, phone number, photos of my car and her reg plate. She took photos of my reg too, I told her to take photos of the damage which she then did.

I messaged her 4+ hours later to say I’ll be taking the car to garages this weekend for estimates and will be in touch. She’s not read it or responded. It’s now hours after I messaged.

Obviously I’m going to message her again once I have the estimates. If she doesn’t respond, wwyd next? I don’t particularly want to go through insurance, but will if I have to.

Send it all to your insurance company , that's what they are there for.

If she doesn’t reply after your quote get insurance co involved.
My son dud this age 5 on a ferry and owner insisted on going through insurance even though I said I’d prefer to pay cash. I had no claims protected so it didn’t affect that anyway.

I don’t know what anybody could advise you apart from going through insurance? She’ll either reply or she won’t. If she doesn’t then you have no choice.

Thank you all, that’s what I thought.
