Lost engagement ring

I've lost my engagement ring on holiday. I seem to remember there was a lady on here who had a knack for 'seeing' lost items. If she's still on here I'd be so grateful for some help finding it.

I'm not she but as soon as I read the title, carpet/rug sprang to mind.

Where are you on holiday and when did you last have it?

Hidden behind something in a bathroom cabinet

Visit every single loo you’ve been to, and scour the area around the sink.

Don’t take my rings off when I wash my hands and two other rings are accounted for. It’s a mystery. No bathroom cabinet. We’ve had the place apart.

When did you remove it, and why? That would be the first clue.

Before bed. All other jewellery beside the bed.

Check inside the pillowcase/under the pillow? Down the side of the mattress, underneath the bed?

Ok, so I'm guessing that you put it by the bedside and you've checked all around? Did it fall into your handbag or some other receptacle?

Take every piece of bedding off, duvet cover off duvet etc, and shake. Take mattress off bed frame. Use phone torch to look under/behind bed frame. Were there bags/shoes by the bed it might have fallen into? What were you wearing in bed?

Have honestly checked everything. Mattresses off the bed and everything.

I can imagine it could roll/bounce a bit of a way on a tiled floor…

Good call about the phone torch. Shine it everywhere because it'll catch the diamond (or whatever the ring is).

Where do you put on suncream in the accommodation? Would you have removed it to do that?

Still no joy.

Purse, make-up bag, handbag?

Did it fall into a shoe?

Nope checked all shoes, makeup bags, handbags…

Sadly no. And we’ve had to come home. Apartment owner is going to have a thorough look when he cleans.
