Has anyone bought any furniture from the Cotswolds Company?

I am looking for a very specific item - a free standing narrow pantry cupboard - as my small kitchen doesn’t have enough storage.

it looks like the Cotswolds Company has just what I need but I have never bought anything from there.

Any thoughts?

I've had one or two things from there. They've been decent quality. I quite like their stuff.

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 01/08/2025 10:48

We've had several items from there over the last 10+ years and been very happy with them. One has survived two house moves, and another has survived one house move, which is more than I can say for other flat pack furniture in our possession😀

We've bought a fair bit from there. Great quality and still looks good years and years later.

Seawolves · 01/08/2025 11:04

As above, have used them and found the furniture to be good. Would buy from them again.

Isyesterdaytomorrowtoday · 01/08/2025 11:10

Yeah, never had any problems

MissyB1 · 01/08/2025 11:10

Yes, we have a beautiful kitchen table and chairs from there which we gets lots of compliments on, people often ask us where we got our table from. We also have one of their kitchen pantry /cupboard things - will try and attach a picture. We have been very happy with them.

We've got a sideboard and bookcase and they are really good quality. I recently was looking at a large shelf/bookcase type unit and I was going to get it from CW but got swayed by Next and about £500 price difference and tbh I regret it. The Next unit is nice but clearly not as good quality as my pieces from CW.

Thank you all - that is really helpful.

I have made some furniture purchase mistakes before and don’t want to make them again!!

I have bought units and the quality is excellent. Its really sturdy and well made. The delivery is excellent to. I plan to buy some kitchen items later this year to

applegingermint · 01/08/2025 11:26

Yes, really good solid furniture. Currently have a console and a shoe cupboard from them.

the80sweregreat · 01/08/2025 11:27

Bought a wardrobe from there five years ago or something and it’s going strong. I like their furniture, but that’s the only thing I’ve purchased from them.

joan12 · 01/08/2025 11:30

Beautiful solid chest of drawers from there. Great delivery and service. Has spoiled me though for cheaper alternatives!

okydokethen · 01/08/2025 11:32

Me too - I’ve bought a lot from them (interest free credit helps) and it’s all reliable quality, nice looking and long lasting.

Sadcafe · 01/08/2025 11:40

Bought a couple of things, one was damaged on arrival, replaced with no issue, decent quality, look good

I have a dresser which is going strong 18 years down the line. It's still really rock solid. I am bit gutted tbh, I would love to replace it but cant justify it while it is in such good condition. I keep looking at the larder / pantry cupboards so please do update this thread if you get one.

Newmeagain · 01/08/2025 12:10

I will report back in due course!!

Update: my dove grey single larder arrived today! I am delighted with it, although I would be even more delighted if it was cheaper or made in the UK.

But very happy overall. I needed it because I have a kitchen diner sort of space and the kitchen part is not that big with not enough storage so this is perfect for the kitchen overspill.

Those larder units do look lovely! Glad you're happy with it

Summerhillsquare · 08/08/2025 16:37

Oh they're not made in UK? Are they already assembled though?

Mumblechum0 · 08/08/2025 16:40

Most stuff seems to be made in China. Such as Neptune which I was a bit surprised about.

JosieRay · 08/08/2025 16:47

We bought a nest of tables and a TV unit from them. The nest of tables arrived damaged so they replaced it. The replacement arrived even more damaged! They told us that it was due to handling by the delivery company which may have been true but no use to us. They refunded the nest of tables. TV unit is fine, no problem.
I have avoided buying anything else from them however.

Yes, this one is made in Vietnam. Such a pity that it had to come half way around the world. I would have happily paid a bit more for made in uk but could not find anything like that.

It did come assembled and the delivery guys were very good. I did buy through JL.

To be honest though, I recently bought a bed for me dd that is apparently made in the uk and the quality is a bit disappointing. I have for this reason bought vintage furniture in the past but the difficulty with that is that you can’t always get what you need.

Yes - a few years back but loved everything and was good quality.
