I’ve just read that the wonderful Alan Ahlberg has died - I spent hours and hours reading his books when I was a child and then again with my own children.

Oh I hadn't heard this. How sad.

I discovered the Ahlberg books when my son was a tiny baby . And he loved them during his childhood.

They are wonderful books. In fact I couldnt bear to throw them out and thirty eight years later they are still in one of my book cases.

I’ve kept all my copies too - my youngest loved The Baby’s Catalogue, I think I read it every night for about 2 years…
